11 July, 2014

S:t Eriks AB, the leading company for surfacing and water and wastewater systems, acquired Stenteknik i Karlstad AB on July 10.

Stenteknik i Karlstad AB is Sweden’s largest company for machine laying of paving. The company surfaces everything from town squares to logistics terminals, harbors, haulage facilities, car parks, etc. For several years, the company has enjoyed steady growth and is now one of the leading players in the country.

Stenteknik i Karlstad has sales of about MSEK 30 with good profitability and will be operated as a separate subsidiary. The former owners remain with the company both in operations and as part-owners, which secures continuity for the future.

“It feels very positive that we have acquired Stenteknik. It is a well-functioning company with a high level of competence in an area with large growth potential in Sweden. S:t Eriks will play a supporting role in the company’s continued growth and will provide S:t Eriks’ production of paving with further possibilities for higher future sales,” says Per-Johan Dahlgren, President of S:t Eriks AB.

“It is satisfying that S:t Eriks is becoming involved as principal owner. S:t Eriks is a strong industrial player in concrete products and has solid expertise in the market. We will now move forward at an even higher pace to develop the company’s operations and growth, while continuing to focus on high quality and delivery reliability in combination with customer service,” says Anders Junghage, President of Stenteknik i Karlstad AB.

S:t Eriks is Sweden’s leading supplier of ground, roofing and water and wastewater systems for professional customers and distributors. Following this acquisition, the company has sales of about MSEK 1,000 per year and employs about 400 persons.
