On December 20, 2011 Segulah III, L.P. (“S III”) signed a final agreement with Litorina IV L.P. to sell Skandinavisk Kommunalteknik AB (“SKT”). Closing took place simultaneously. SKT´s management team remains as significant owners.
SKT´s business idea is to customize and deliver pressure sewage systems to municipalities, contractors and individual households. The Company has a clear market leading position in Sweden and Denmark and a challenger position in Norway and Finland.
Since S III´s acquisition, the organization has been significantly expanded and two add-on acquisitions have recently been completed (SKT´s former distributors in Norway and Finland).
“Following the recent acquisitions in Finland and Norway, SKT now has a platform in place for continued Nordic expansion. SKT has been a very successful investment for S III and the Company has the potential for continued success under its new ownership”, says Lennart Kalén, former Chairman of the Board of SKT.
SKT was originally acquired in 2008 from the entrepreneurs by the S III portfolio company Nordform. In connection with Nordform´s merger with S:t Eriks in 2009, SKT was spun off to become a separate portfolio company in S III.
