Per-Ingemar Persson has been appointed CEO of NVS Installation AB (NVS), where he will succeed Gunnar Rune, who is retiring.
Since graduating in engineering from the University of Lund, Per-Ingemar Persson, age 46, has been employed in a variety of positions with the Skanska Group. He joins NVS from Skanska Danmark A/S, where he was CEO. His previous positions include a period as CEO of Skanska Sverige AB. He will take up his appointment on September 1 this year.
NVS is a group of installation companies in which heating, ventilation and sanitation contracting is the largest business area. The Group has an annual turnover exceeding two billion Swedish kronor and more than 2,000 employees at some 70 locations in Sweden and Norway. The NVS group has expanded strongly in recent years.
The private equity companies Segulah and Skandia Investment acquired NVS in January 2002.
“Per-Ingemar Persson has a long and successful track record from managerial positions in the Nordic building and contracting industries, which makes him eminently suitable to run NVS as it moves into its new development phase,” says Per-Olof Sjberg, chairman of NVS.
“Our goal is to expand and develop NVS into a leading Nordic installation company. Per-Ingemar Persson has the experience and competence needed to manage this process,”adds Sjberg.
“Naturally, it is a big step for me to leave Skanska after twenty years. But I felt that I couldn’t refuse such a challenging offer. NVS is a highly professional company, with very capable people. Leading the company into the next stage of its development will be particularly stimulating,” comments Per-Ingemar Persson.
