Dacke PMC AB acquires the Danish hydraulics company Hydropower A/S from the Grene Group

Hydropower A/S, located in Esbjerg, is ranking among the leading companies of the Danish hydraulics sector for many years. The company achieved a turnover in 2004 of approximately EUR 8 millions and occupies 55 employees allocated in Esbjerg and in operation facilities in Jutland and Sealand.

Hydropower A/S is actively involved in business, projects and service and is strongly represented within the markets of marine, off shore and mobile applications. In recent years the company has furthermore built up a sale of niche products based on the principal business area as well as growing sales for the wind mill industry.

In the Danish market Hydropower A/S holds a range of market-leading agencies.

Dacke PMC AB originates from Dacke Hydraulik AB and the Nordic companies of the former Berendsen PMC. Today the group consists of 22 companies in the Nordic region, the Baltics, Russia and China. Turnover in 2004 represents approximately EUR 240 millions.

In Denmark Dacke PMC AB owns the hydraulics company PMC Technology A/S in Soeborg and the electronics company SystemTeknik A/S in Aalborg.

Hydropower A/S remains an independent limited company and will develop on basis of the present company business area and strategy, which naturally matches the conceptual framework and vision of Dacke PMC AB.

Since 1987 Hydropower A/S has been run by managing director Leif Dircksen, chairman of Brancheforeningen for Hydraulik & Pneumatik (the trade association for hydraulics and pneumatics). Leif Dircksen will continue as managing director for the company.

Appointed chairman of the board is CEO Erik Holst from Dacke PMC Danmark A/S.
