Callenberg Engineering, Inc. acquires Dynamic Marine Electric, Inc.

On April 11, 2007, Callenberg Engineering, Inc., a member of the Callenberg Group located in Miami, Florida, and specialized in marine electrical engineering, refrigeration, contracting, and spare parts sales, agreed to acquire the activities of Dynamic Marine Electric, Inc., a long time industry leader in lighting components and electrical sales to the marine market.

Combining the activities of Dynamic Marine with Callenberg’s creates the largest electrical supplier to the marine industry in South Florida. Dynamic Marine’s activities complement Callenberg’s existing product and service offerings. Callenberg will now be able to offer such well known high quality lighting products from Osram, Philips, Radium and Sylvania at very competitive prices.

“The operations of Dynamic Marine are a natural and powerful complement to our Miami based electrical business. The expertise and resources that Dynamic Marine brings to Callenberg Engineering will considerably improve our position as a key strategic supply partner for our customers,” states Fred Sorensen, Callenberg’s Vice President of Purchasing, Sales & Logistics.

“We think that this acquisition is the ultimate win-win situation for our suppliers, ourselves, and most of all for our customers,” states David Folic, Vice President of Dynamic Marine Electric, Inc. “I look to the future with optimism, and very much look forward to joining the Callenberg family and the task I will have to build the lighting pillar of their business.”

The Callenberg Group, with headquarters in Sweden, is one of the leading suppliers of electrical, automation and HVAC systems to the marine and offshore markets. In all our markets we work proactively with the entire value chain; from design and layout to installation, testing and full after-sales service. Besides USA, Callenberg Group has subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Singapore and China. The group employs more than 500 persons.
